GCUD values our customers privacy. It is very important to us. We have taken every precaution to protect your information including, but not limited to following the Federal Trade Commission, Red Flag Rules in 16C.F.R. § 681.2.

Our Refund Policy

All services provided by GCUD are nonrefundable.

Courtesy Call: The Collector

G.C.U.D. is always looking for new ways to better communicate with our customers. The Collector is just one of the new programs we are using to meet this goal. As a courtesy to our customers, The Collector places a prerecorded message a couple of days prior to disconnection for nonpayment as a friendly reminder. We have also used the device to alert customers of outages. We hope The Collector is as valuable to you as it has been to us.

Financing Program

With just 25% down and credit approval, we will put your gas appliance payment on your monthly gas bill for up to 12 months, with only 7% interest added. Contact Mark Avery, 731-855-1441 for information on full array of gas appliances and costs.

Budget Pay Program

This program is being offered to Gibson County Utility District residential natural gas & propane customers with an active account for the past twelve months and with no outstanding balance at sign up date. The program allows you to pay your gas bills in 12 equal payments, therefore, eliminating high payments in the winter months. Your equal monthly payment would be based on your last 12 months usage. Any merchandise payment or tank rental payment would be in addition to your gas budget pay program payment.

We will continue to read your meter each month. You will still receive a monthly bill for your gas, along with a running total of how much gas you are actually using each month, and any additional charges. An adjustment to your payment amount may be necessary if your gas usage or our rates vary greatly from the original estimate, or if winter weather is significantly colder or warmer than normal.

You must pay the monthly budget payment in order to keep your gas service. You may discontinue the program at any time provided full payment is made for services used. The sign up period is in March.

Active Budget Pay Customers:

Active budget pay customers will be sent a letter in March reflecting the calculated amount for new budget payment. The letter states the guidelines for remaining on the program. If you choose not to stay on the budget pay program, you will need to contact our office.

Project We Care

This program allows Gibson County Utility District customers to help each other. Project We Care is a program to help the elderly, handicapped and needy with their gas bills. Your contribution of $1, $3 or $5 is tax deductible and will be distributed to Northwest Economical Development of West TN. in its entirety to help those in need. You can sign up for this program at any time.

Social Security Program

FLEX PLAN – Social Security Recipients Qualified customers will have ten (10) extra days from the normal cycle days due date without late charges applying. Call or come by our office to apply.

Energy Savers Program

This program is designed to provide you a free energy audit of your home, make recommendations about your energy needs, and show you how you can save money on your energy bill.

Water Heater Rebate Program

Any GCUD customer switching or adding a gas water heater in place of an electric water heater will receive a up to $150.00 rebate toward the purchase of a gas water heater. Requirements are as follows:

  • Must be A GCUD customer.
  • Must be switching from electric to gas or adding another gas water heater to the property.
  • Customer has 2 weeks from time of receipt of water heater to have the installation inspected. (If water heater comes from GCUD)
  • If water heater is purchased elsewhere, GCUD will need a copy of the sales receipt from the merchant.
  • Once the copy of receipt is received and inspection is complete, a $150.00 check will be written to the customer for the rebate.
