Tennessee 811 is a non-profit Tennessee corporation established in 1983, whose mission is to act as an advance notification service to operators of underground facilities anywhere within the state.
Tennessee 811 is governed by a Board of Directors and an Operating Committee.
We are the only such service in Tennessee and are recognized as the official 811 service for Tennessee.

811 In The 731
811 In The 731 is a collaborative effort between all utilities in Gibson County. The Utility Association of Gibson County, as the collaboration is known, presents annual safety simulations that are free for the public to attend. Tennessee 811 is the title sponsor of the event, and local utilities and industries contribute sponsorships as well.
